First Launch
After activation, Karafuru opens and shows a setup screen. Here's what you'll see.

Karafuru guides you through quick setup:
- Connect a camera — Plug in your USB webcam or connect your DSLR (via DigiCamControl). The app shows "Waiting for camera..." until it finds one.
- Connect a printer — Plug in your USB printer. Karafuru auto-detects it.
- Choose paper size — Select the photo paper format your printer uses (2R, 4R, A4, or Letter). Karafuru saves this for next time.
- View your license — Confirm your plan and license details.
- Continue to dashboard — Click Start or Go to Dashboard.

Don't have a printer yet? You can still run a session and save photos without printing. You'll need the printer connected before the first event.
Dashboard
The main screen is now ready. You'll see:
- Start Session button — Click here to begin capturing photos
- Camera preview — Live feed from your webcam (if connected)
- Recent sessions — Past events with photo counts and dates
- Settings — Adjust camera, printer, and payment options
- Account — View your license and plan
Your printer should show in Settings under Printer Configuration.
You're all set. Ready to run your first session.
note
If your camera or printer doesn't show up, unplug and replug the USB cable. Karafuru will detect it within a few seconds. If it still doesn't appear, restart the app.
