Activate Your License

A license key lets you run photo sessions and unlock features. License activation happens in the app settings, not during installation.

Get your license key​

  1. Log in at karafuruphoto.com
  2. From the sidebar, click Subscription
  3. In the licenses section, click Generate License
  4. Click Generate License to create a new event license
  5. Your license key will appear in a modal (looks like: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)
  6. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard

Important: Karafuru uses 1 license per event. Each photo session needs its own license key.

You can create multiple licenses for different events or cameras. Each license can be activated on one device at a time.

Activate in the app​

1. Open the settings​

Launch Karafuru, then click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner of the toolbar.

2. Go to the System tab​

In the settings panel, click the Sistem or System tab.

3. Enter your license key​

In the License section, paste your license key into the text field.

4. Click Verify​

Click the VERIFIKASI button to activate your license.

Your internet connection must be active to verify. The app will connect to our servers to confirm your license is valid.

5. Success!​

Once verified, your license appears in the toolbar at the top center of the app, showing:

  • Your event name (e.g., "Jakarta Wedding")
  • Status badge (green = active, red = expired)
  • Days remaining
  • License type

What happens next​

Once your license is active:

  • You can click MULAI on the home page to start a photo session
  • The license automatically refreshes daily to stay up to date
  • Your license works offline between daily refreshes
  • You can have multiple licenses activated simultaneously (across different devices)

Manage your license​

Rename your license​

  1. Click the pencil icon next to your license name in settings
  2. Enter a new name (e.g., "Event 1 - Booth A")
  3. Save

Refresh your license​

  1. Click the refresh icon in the settings
  2. The app connects to servers and updates your license status
  3. Useful if you just upgraded or changed plans

Remove your license​

  1. Click the remove icon (trash) in the settings
  2. Confirm deletion
  3. The license is unlinked from the app locally

Removing a license from the app removes it from your device, but the license itself remains bound to that machine ID in your account. It cannot be reused on another device. To use a different device, create a new license from your dashboard.

Removing a license also clears any photos waiting to upload. Download them first if you want to keep them.

Troubleshooting​

"Invalid license key"

  • Double-check you copied the entire key, including all hyphens
  • Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after
  • Check Activation Issues for more help

"License already in use"

  • This license is currently active on another device
  • Each license is permanently bound to one machine ID
  • To use a different device, create a new license from your dashboard at Subscription → Generate License

"Cannot verify license (no internet)"

  • Your internet connection is offline or unstable
  • Check your connection and try again
  • Once verified, the license works offline until the next daily refresh

License shows "SELESAI" (expired)

  • Your license validity period has ended
  • Log in at karafuruphoto.com to renew or create a new event license
